What I Wish I Knew About Money Sooner
The one mindset shift that changed how I see money...and why it matters more than the numbers.

I used to think money was just about the numbers:
You earn it.
You spend it.
You save a little if you can.
But here’s what I’ve learned over time:
Money is emotional. It’s spiritual.
It reveals what we value, what we fear, and where we place our trust.
God cares more about how you see money than how much you have.
There was a month when things were tight.
Bills were piling up. Groceries felt like a luxury.
I was doing everything I could, but still felt like I was falling short.
What weighed most wasn’t the math… it was the shame.
I thought struggling meant I wasn’t “good” with money.
That peace only came when the numbers looked perfect.
But here’s what I wish I knew sooner:
Peace doesn’t come from your balance sheet.
It comes from knowing the One who holds it all together.
When you stop seeing money as a measure of your worth, and start seeing it as a tool God can use through your story… everything changes.
Today’s Practical Step:
Rewrite one money message you picked up growing up.
Was it…
❌ “We don’t talk about money.”
❌ “Money is bad.”
❌ “I’ll always be behind.”
Write it down.
Pray over it.
Replace it with biblical truth…like God provides or I am called to steward, not strive.

A Simple Prayer for Today:
God, help me release the pressure to have it all together. Renew my mind with Your truth about money. Show me how to steward what I have with peace, not shame. Amen.
